A.B.L.E. — A Better Living Experience — is a creative economy platform founded in Detroit. This is the story of why it exists, who built it, and what it is becoming.
Detroit has never lacked talent. Walk through any neighborhood and you will find designers, artists, makers, and entrepreneurs producing work that competes with anything in New York, London, or Paris.
What Detroit lacked was infrastructure — the rooms, the systems, the standards, and the commercial environments that let a creative community present its work at the level it deserves and capture the value it generates.
A.B.L.E. was built to be that infrastructure. Not a single event. Not a one-time market. A platform designed to hold, to repeat, and to scale.
“We build the rooms where culture, business, and community finally meet — and we make sure the people who fill those rooms own a piece of what they create.”
Every vendor, designer, and artist is selected against a real standard. The curation is what makes the room worth being in — for the makers and the community alike.
We do not build for an audience. We build from the inside of a community outward. The people are not the marketing — they are the reason the platform exists.
Detroit built the modern world and exported the value. A.B.L.E. is built so the value the community generates stays with the community that generates it.
A standard that only works once is not a standard. A.B.L.E. is designed to repeat, city by city, without losing the quality that made it matter.
“Detroit didn’t lack talent. It lacked infrastructure. A.B.L.E. is the infrastructure.”
T’airah White founded A.B.L.E. to close the gap she saw firsthand — between the creative talent Detroit produces and the systems available to support it.
Between November 2023 and May 2024, she produced six curated markets in seven months — entirely from founder investment and operational revenue, with no outside capital. Each one proved the same thing: the community was always ready. It just needed the room.
Today she leads A.B.L.E. as a platform built to take that standard into new cities — while keeping ownership where it belongs.
A.B.L.E. is now raising its first external capital — not to prove the model, but to scale what already works. The goal is to deepen what we have built in Detroit and take the standard into new cities through a franchise model designed to preserve the quality that made it matter.
Events are the product. The ecosystem is the business. And the ecosystem is only getting bigger.
Whether you are a creative, a brand, a city, or an investor — the conversation starts the same way.
